TPJVersionInfo is a 32 bit non-visual component that encapsulates the version information contained in an executable file.

The component reads information from a designated file's VERSIONINFO resource using the Windows API GetFileVersionInfo and associated functions.

The name of the file from which version information is to be extracted is specified by the component's FileName property. Setting this property to the empty string fetches version information for the executable containing the component. The component assumes that the format of the version information follows Microsoft guidelines – but not all software does so.

Run-time properties enable access to the version information.

This component supports version information resources that contain more than one language.
