2 questions 1) about choose a file 2) about save a image in a db ....
 
hi all (i use D6 and mysql)
2 questions:

1) about choose a file
i have in my form a component image1, when the user make 2 click (dblclick) in the ocmponent image1, i want display a box for select a file(i can make a form for select the file), but exist other way more easy or any predefined box?

2) about save a image in a db ....

what is the best way: save the picture of image 1 (how not know, please give me any code) or save the path and the name in a field of type string?

1 - Use a TOpenDialog (It is on your Component Palette under Dialogs)

2 - Read about BlobFields in the help files.

1) ahhh ok not remeber OpenDialogBox...
2) ok, but for you what is the best way for save a image, blob or save the path and filename?

It depends on what you want ...

Many DBs use a fileserver for saving attachments and resources, where the pointer to the attachment or resource is saved in the DB and the files are in their directory.
