count names from a dbs

I want to get info from the following db code

MainForm.GroupsTable.FieldByName('Name').AsString;

but I want to count all the Names in the field can sumone show me how to do this allso how can I make it so I can check group then room then user count in that room

Group --> Room Name --> Users in room count can anyone help at all thank you
