Default Examples of good userinterfaces needed

Hi,

Would appreciate very much if somebody could give med a link or a booktitle showing good examples of program userinterface. I mean how to place VCL components on the form, how to use the newer components in a smart and userfriendly style etc.
Looking forward to an answer. Thank you.

Lars

User Design is something trivial. What I find good you might not...

Just a few examples to show how one can compose the VCL's on a form. There might be a link to something like that.

All depends on the purpose of the application
There is no good or wrong

But UI designer is a job on itself, so I doubt you'll find the answer you're looking for.

They all come with links on books to read, but none gives the same book list.
So no consencis, therefor it's all up to you.

Here's a recent list of one of those sites:
http://blog.careerfoundry.com/ux-design/best-books-ux/

If you have read those and designed your UI (on paper) you can get a head-start on developping using https://www.devexpress.com/Products/VCL/
But that costs money, but is easy and builds relatively modern UI in a uniform way...

As for your question on how to use those components, that all depends on the component you choose/place on your form. So for this you'll not find anyting (also on Mr. Google) because it's far to global. You cannot answer anything if you don't know what to answer, a bit like the chicken and the egg...

Hi Norrit!

I fully understand your point. I will have a look around. I guess that the simple act of looking at different proffesional programs can give me some inspiration. The DevExpress is far too expensive for a non-proffesional amateur likke me (599$)!
Thank you for your answers.

Best Regards
Lars
