If I understood you correctly, a client from a remote computer wants to connect to your local firebird database. Make sure that:
1. You have firebird server installed
2. Disable firewall and/or AV software
3. The client libraries on the remote computer are present

Try the following code:
Code:
SQLConnection1.Params.Values['Database'] := '192.168.1.1:Z:\SIDDAT\SIDDAT.FDB';
SQLConnection1.Params.Values['User_Name'] := 'sysdba';
SQLConnection1.Params.Values['Password'] := 'masterkey';
SQLConnection1.Params.Values['VendorLib'] := 'fbclient.dll';
//...
try
  SQLConnection1.Connected := True;
except
  on E: exception do
  begin
      MessageDlg(E.Message, mtError, [mbOK], 0)
  end;
end;
PS: 192.168.1.1 seems a router address to me! Are you sure this is the correct IP address?

Thanks for the quick response

I will try as suggested and'll let you know on this forum as soon as possible

P.S. Opps I think you're right and that we are human and hurry sometimes .... I guess you're right about the address, the problem is that they are two computers for internal reasons all'azien not have an Internet connection. ..

The librerire installed are those written above

Please install librerria which I have perhaps especially on the server?

thanks

I have to take the test at the customer, but I think the problem is the IP address wrong, since it is the first time I use dbexpress for applications in the network, if necessary, ask a welcome aid to be able to Apply the database

P.S. I forgot to say that it is a network Windows7 + XP (2 PC) connected peer to peer......
