Default Imorting TWebBrowser Component ?

Hi All,

I am using Delphi 4 Professional.

I have imported the Active X component TWebBrowser

Can i distribute an application using this component ?

If so do I just need to distribute the *.exe or
do i need to attach anything else ?

And can I assume as it works on my computer it will work
on any computer I install my program that has Internet
Explorer ?

And is this component the same as using I. Explorer ?

Thanks very much for your help.
Dave

Hi David.

From what I understand ,
If you use TWebBrowser, you will need to make sure that the user at least has IE v4 .If you develop with an ActiveX imported from Ver6 for IE, the user's machine must at least have that version. But if you developed with v4, then if the user has v4 and above its ok , but I'm not 100% sure so please someone correct me if Im wrong.

The best way is just distribute the latest IE version you developed with .The Dll's TWebBrowser uses you are not allowed to distribute , get the IEAK here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.asp

Also, for an alternative to IE please have a look here,
http://www.pbear.com

Best Regards :-)

P.S
For examples on using TWebBrowser,

http://www.euromind.com/iedelphi/getting_started.htm

Also have a look at TEmbeddedWB, it fixes few bugs the TWebBrowser may have , such as the popular bug when the Enter key doesnt work http://www.euromind.com/iedelphi/embeddedwb.htm

Hmm. I'm not sure what the problem may be :-(

Did you try to follow the step through offered for D5?

http://www.euromind.com/iedelphi/gettingstarted/started_d5.htm

It should be quite similar for D6.

Goodluck!

Hi

I've search the Delphi-Webbrowser yahoo group and some suggestion came up. You can read them for yourself
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/delphi-webbrowser/messagesearch?query=undeclared%20identifier%20

let's see if any of them help.
