I'm not completely sure what you're looking for
I'm not familiar with the MS access interface in C++

So can you explain a little bit more what you're looking for?

MySQL offers c++ MS access and C++ connection to C++ users

Setting up MySQL to Delphi 7 is a pain and the support of MS access as a interface to MySQL is such a added advantage. Fast access, features.....

@lexd

I think you mixing up mysql with mssql. Anyway for:
1. mysql you have Zeos component(free, fast, tons of tutorial, supports lazarus, etc)
2. mssql and ms access, you have the ADO component(again many tutorials on the net, personally I don't like it, but that's my problem anyway )

Wink

Zeos component is the biggest trash out
I've tried a few others and they are no good ether
They all clearly have a long way to go
And that does not give you MS access or XLS to MySQL.
The MSSQL is even got less support.
Until you use them do you realize how impossible they are.

The only thing that I've had total success with MS ACCESS through the ADO
Works like a dream. But its not the best Database but its reasonable for small consumer Stuff. But I would not build a web application with it.

I never had any problems with Zeos.

I'm an MSSQL - ADO user, and this works without any problems, so I don't understand the Access as the only total success.
Even in tooling that I wrote I use ADO with MSSQL directly, and I have no issues there what so ever. Even the exotic MSSQL specific queries work like a charme.

I've used ZEOS once, did what it should do (MySQL). It was only for very straight-forward queries, so I cannot build an oppinion on performance. But I couldn't find any reason to call it trash...

NOTE: I never use DataSource/DataSet constructions, so I'm only talking on direct SQL statements on the component sets (in this case ADO and ZEOS)
