Default Passing variables between 2 executables

Hi,
How can I pass values form variables between 2 exe delphi programs.

I think it is better to use a Registry value as variable, or an INI file (txt file) to pass variables between programs.

I am managing only one instance of the application. Would like to send captured parameters from other instances to the first.

If you start a application fron other you can pass the parameter on command line and read from FormActivation.

Also you can use reg or DDE command

There are several ways of doing this:
1) send a Windows message to the first instance. You can use WM_COPYDATA to transfer the data.
2) use memory-mapped file and an event. This is more complex, while Windows message is easy and effective.
