Default Query Refreshing with a TDBNavigator

Hi,

i've linked a SQL-query to a TDBNavigator and my refresh button doesn't work. can't I refresh the query using the refresh button on the navigator? I've set the RequestLive property to True, but then I get an error that the table is not uniquely indexed... can anybody help me?

Greetz,
Ted

Default RE: Query Refreshing with a TDBNavigator

what database are you using ?

anyway that prblm comes dues to several reasons the best way to overcome that is to hide the refresh button of dbnavigator through dbnavigators property in visible buttons there will be a plus sign and when click on that plus it opens down to show the list of all the buttons and there you can hide or show any button

and then create a new button with same of differet image and place it anywhere or next to dbnavigator and in its click event just put two lines

query1.close;
query1.open;

i hope it helps and if it does then do click on the accept button above

yes, i know this way works, but I want the button to work cause it's there... I have a function to do the trick you mentioned, with some added features like remembering the current recordpointer position.

btw, I found some info in the Help-files:
Refresh button
Refreshes the buffered data in the associated dataset.
For TQuery components, this button is disabled unless
the RequestLive property is True.

my property is set to true, but then I get this error Table not uniquely indexed. but IT IS indexed uniquely.. I'm using Adaptive Server Anywhere..
