Default Ưnserting Html To MDB database

i am trying to insert HTML to a mdb database.
i am using a tmemo for writing area and inserting in a memo field in a mdb database. I am using bde

The problem is when the length of html is long (ưn my experience)it gives error. how can i solve this

* May it be because of tabs in html
* May it be because of 's and "s

In php+mysql when i am inserting html in to db i am usinf addslashes is there something like that in access databases.
Thanks all..

Default RE: Ưnserting Html To MDB database

you could always add the HTML into multiple fields, try experimenting with different field lengths for each section of HTML within the database.

If i were you i would use Copy() to extract each section of the HTML.

Copy works like this: Copy([string],[beginning character-1], [end character])

eg. to extract "ONE" from "ONETWOTHREE" (in the string Stng) you would use:

Copy(stng,0,3);

and to get TWO you would use:

Copy(stng,3,6);

Hope that helps, bye!

Looks like you are using an Access database.
Memo fields in Access have a 64KB size limit.
If you could try to get the html in a field of type OLEObject, you have a 1GB size limit.
