except for the source code i can give any information to solve this

i was hoping there are specific problems that are reflected as AV in ntdll.dll so at least i will have a hint on where to start looking.

Nope, we need to know what it is you are doing in your app upon close. The AV is a fairly generic one, at that, so tracking it down is going to be a chore. Have you used JCLDebug or madExcept or EurekaLog to help you figure it out?

when the app closes i FreeAndNil(obj); everything and switch off all the timers. also, embarcadero fixed a memory leak they had in MidasLib.pas unit (i thought this was the reason). also, all my runtime created forms are created as .create(nil); instead of .Create(application) but this didnt help as well.

i think the problem lies somewhere else and is shown only upon closing otherwise i would have this problem everytime i close the app (and i dont)

the attached file is a madexcept bug report... but it seems not to give enough information unless someone can understand its callstack

Oh, I remember seeing in now...
I'd check out these controls to see if they could be causing it:
TsLabelFX
TsPanel
TsScrollBox

Did they come from the AlphaSkins package?

Why don't you download their demo programs and see if you get the same type of AV when running them?

yes, they are part of alphaskins.com package

i dont think they are the source of the problem. long time ago i had another problem that supposedly came from these controls while eventually it was me who didnt close a tab at runtime like i should (there was a form inside the tab)

i dont know how to reproduce it so i can play with my project/their demo as much as i want and get nothing... my main problem is knowing what can cause an AV in ntdll.dll - once i will know, i might have a better guessing on what im doing wrong.

a user of mine sent me a bug report about another system dll AV, a quick search in google made me realize that the problem is known and all that guy needed is to use windowsupdate on his computer, he did and it worked but this error seems to be too general, i know, i dont expect miracles but that is all i got.
