First, Kylix and Apache are not data base systems.

Kylix - A version of Delphi made for Unix.
Apache - A web server which usually runs on Unix.

Second, did you want examples on each database system you just mentioned(iterbase/firebird, informix or oracle)? They are all different. Are you using BDE, ODBC or direct connections to these databases?

yes i know that kylix, is a version of delphi for linux, i know all you menttioned... but u can develop with kylix a .dso file for load in apache and connecto to mysql, thanks...

Oh ok, I just could not understand what your question was. It seems that what you are asking for is how to connect to a database using a web app that runs on an Apache server. Sorry, I can't help you here because the only web apps I have ever developed where in ASP which I guess you could run on Apache if you run ChiliASP but I have only worked on IIS for Windows and used ODBC to connect to the database which is also Windows. You will need to find a Database Engine which runs on Unix to be able to do what you need or you might find a direct link component for the database system you use. Interbase has many of these. We use IBExpress. Sorry I could not help.
