Default DB Management Question

Hey guys.

im looking for a db management that i can use for delphi 7 in windows 7 that allows me to use mysql hopefully, but if you know of any other db that would be cool. It must be easy to deploy and mustn't require any extra dlls or installations than the files it comes with. My ultimate goal is to have the program installed on other pcs(any OS) and work, with no other requirements or installations for the db to work.
any help will be great

thanx!

Zeos library allows connections to MySQL and it is free.

I think he is looking for a DB management system, one that you can create a database and tables. I have been stumped on this myself. I have tried using Workbench but I cannot get a DB to be created. I'm totally frustated. You suggested HeidiSQL but it is a mystery to me. I need help on this, too.

Why is HeidiSQL a mystery? Very easy to use, similar to old SQL Server Management Studio.

Sypher14, please explain further how you want to use this tool. I do recall seeing code for a DB manager written in Delphi that you can compile into your app. To change backends, you will need to make a few changes.

MrBaseball, thanks for all your help. I'm going to open a new topic about MySQL and see if I can figure out how to use it. Hopefully, I will see you there.
