Default Delphi 2005 and MySQL

Hello,
I'm trying to connect my application with a mysql server, but there are few issues. I do the following:

1) I add a TSQLConnection. I choose "MySQLConnection" as "ConnectionName", I insert in "Params" the database info, I change "Connected" to True, it asks for my password, I type it and everything is good.

2) I add a TSQLDataSet. I connect TSQLDataSet with TSQLConnection and I type my query in "CommandText".

3) I add a TDataSource. I choose in "TSQLDataSet" (step 2) as "DataSource" the TDataSource that I just created.

If I click "Active" at TSQLDataSet, then if the table doesn't exist, I see an error message that the table doesn't exist. If it exists, I see the following error:

Quote:
Access violation at address 12499334 in module 'dbexpmysql.dll'. Read of address 00000002.
What could be wrong?

first of all ensure that you have correct version of the dll file, if you are not sure then check the version of MySQl installed and get the dll file for same from its website.

Secondly, copy dbexpmysql.dll and libmySQL.dll into Project folder and try again. It should work.

Hope it helps.

C:\>mysql --version
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.22, for Win32 (ia32)

How can I see if I have the correct version of the .dll file? Where can I find the correct version of the .dll file for delphi? Didn't support for delphi has stopped?
