Hi!

I've looked on some of the results from your search, but their problem seem appeared when installing a new component. But I haven't installed any new components. I used delphi yesterday, and i worked perfectly. But today it doesn't. Yesterday eavning(late) my computer somehow reseted all the options on my windows(XP sucks), and I had to reconfigure most of my options. Could this be the reason for my problems??

Thanks.

greetings

I recently read that someone solved this problem
by saying that their library list was to long, and
when they deleted some the problem went away.

Sounds like a problem with the registry. My guess is that when XP resetted the options it somehow removed delphi's entries in the registry. Reinstall delphi and it should work fine again.

If your registry got reverted back to an older version then YES. It really sucks when that happens because you have to go into your Environment Option in Delphi and read all of you search paths or reinstall every thing from scratch. I had this happen to me twice and each time it took me like a week to get my Delphi back to proper working order. I need to stop using so many third party components. I hope this is not the case for you but if it is, I hate to say it but there is no easy way to recover from this unless you have a backup of your registry.

I decided to reinstall delphi, and I got another problem: I couldn't uninstall it! So I deleted it and removed all the entries in the registry. Then the next problem: XP thought the CD was an "AUDIO-CD"(I hate ms). So after a couple of restarts I finally managed to reinstall Delphi.

I know ms like to create problems for Delphi. I've discovered it in Win98 and even more in XP. XP does not fit well with delphi at all!(98 - less problems)

If anyone else ever discover a problem like this, then just reinstall delphi.

greetings
