Default VirtualStringTree

Hi ...

Anybody experienced with the VirtualStringTree ???
I need to create a treeview like the 3th sample in the Advanced demo ... Only disadvantage of this demo is that it's fixed (2 columns and data enetered) ...
Is there a better demo available where the columns and values aren't fixed, so I can add nodes at runtime ...

Problem is that the VirtualStringTree is much to complex to understand in 2 hours, and that's all the time I have to create such a layout ...
If anybody has other suggestions on how to add editable treeview with rowselect and fixed columns editable, you're also welcome ...

If anybody wants more information on what I want, ask and I'll provide ...

First of all, they renamed it to "NextGrid" ...
Second, this is not freeware ... And I'm not in the position to buy (unfortunately) ...

VST is really different from normal treeview or listview, that's what i feel when first time learning this.

it use linked list so if you have to add the nodes,
use RootNodeCount property and adjust the item when treeview iterate.

actually there is a method you can use to add it like normal treeview, using addchild method. but like described in help file addchild method is not recomended. it's better using event.

anyway you can check the official newsgroup then ask there for more detailed information

Yes, I would like to have a treeview with the following structure:

[pre]
- Anchor point - editable ComboBox
- Left - editable Numeric
- Top - editable Numeric

- Anchor point - editable ComboBox
- Left - editable Numeric
- Top - editable Numeric
- Anchor point - editable ComboBox
- Left - editable Numeric
- Top - editable Numeric
..
And so on ...[/pre]

The example #3 is what it basically should look like, but I cannot modify it easily to fit my needs (runtime add, delete identifiers) ...

Hope you understand my problem better now ...

I also downloaded TVirtualPropertyTree, but this is very buggy and is not exactly what I want ...

Thanx for now, and I hope you can give me some pointers on how to achieve what I want ...

I knew this, but as I stated this component is much to complex to understand in 2 hours ...
I know I can make it work, but basically I need to understand the basics and this will take me (I guess 2 days) ... And I only need this just once, so 2 days investement is not an option (unfortunately) ...

But thanx for the forums, I will look at them later ...
