Default Hiding files from user outside of my program.

I am wondering if there is a way to hide files from the user so that the user will only be able to see the files I save from inside my program. Like a text file. they can only load it from inside my program and not in notepad.

Thx.

I suppoese this is possible if you save the file to the HDD, rewrite the FAT so the system think the file is gone, and in your program you have to know where to look for the file and read each cluster / block on the HDD until the file is loaded.

Or ... save the files encrypted ... Thats easier ... )

I've heard of some applications hiding your files from the system, dunno what they use or where to get them though ...

Regards

/Filip

You won't like my answer :-) Yes, there's a way. You'll have to developp a VxD file, to hook the IFS manager. But you can't do that in Delphi (I use Visual C++ and Microsoft DDK, and Numega Softice Driver Suite)
