Default Writing from a query into a Table

Hi there guys.

I am sitting with a problem. I create a Interbase table at run time. Then I execute a query to get information from a few tables. After that I need to take the query result and post it to the table.

Then I need to sort and manupilate the data for reports that I have to do. My problem is the following.

The table creates just fine.
The query executes just fine.
The problem comes in when I push the data into the table.
It starts and then it just stays there it doesn't do anything else. It is like it's hanging. I use the the insert statement. Is there a way that I can do this faster without a process hanging.

please Help
Ruaan

What are you expecting it to do after your insert?
Show us your code how you do your insert.

Default RE: Writing from a query into a Table

with TableX do
begin
Insert;
FieldByName('Field1').asString := QueryZ.FieldByName('FieldA').asString;

FieldByName('Field2').asString := QueryZ.FieldByName('FieldB').asString;
Post;
end;

This should work.
