Default Changing default control properties before creating object..

How can i change the Default properties before the object is created, i tried to by overriding the 'Create(..)' constructor, & change them before the 'Inherited Create(..)' is called, but it dose not work.

Before that i tried to see if there is any event could support me with that ability, but i could not find one...

i remember there is the OnConstruct event... if i'm not wrong, i think i ride about that some where...

Thankful for the help
SAM

What properties, what component? What are you exactly trying
to do?

Some of the components take action when they are in the active mode, like the TDatabase & TSession, you need them active in design time so you can invoke all datasets linked with them..

In the run time you need to read TDatabase.DatabaseName from INI file, or set the TSession.PrivateDir to the TEMP path...

I tried the last one in the constructor, it gave me an access violation...

Thank you for you interest

Why are you trying to modify the component to do this?
Set the properties in the FormShow or FormCreate.
