Stay on top windows

I have an application with one normal window and three 'stay on top' windows.

What I should like to do is to fix the priority or order that these three stay on top windows work.

For example I should like 'stay on top' window 1 to always be on the bottom of the other two 'stay on top' windows and 'stay on top' window 3 to always be on the top of the other two.

At the moment it seems quite random.

Any ideas?

Then you could try and change the z-order. perhaps google will have an answer on this...

But in general I have more concerns on the purpose. What user interface requires 3 stay on top windows???

Thanks for that

It's a media player that uses a transparent 'stay on top' window to display subtitles. The playlist editor and interface window are also 'stay on top' so the subtitles don't appear on top of them.
